About Us

Our core values, beliefs, mission, and vision

Just as Jesus came to set the example for all who follow Him, we believe that we are called to heal the brokenhearted, bind up wounds, lay hands on the sick, deliver captives out of bondage, and perform all the works the Holy Spirit leads us to do in His name for the benefit, health, and wholeness of others. In this way we mend those whom God sends to us - emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually - in order for others to become whole and healed in Him. As people are mended and heal, they are tended in order to produce healthy growth and achieve new levels. Through teaching of the Word of God, fellowship and communion with other members of Christ, spiritual alignment, and the use and stretching of each person’s unique gifts and talents God has endowed them with, any willing member will grow closer and walk in the path and calling God has for them. Just as a body learns to function wholly and completely as it grows with each part doing its unique function, so do the members of Christ’s body, the Church. As each becomes whole and functional in the Body of Christ, healthy and maturing in understanding, Jesus’s Great Commission is fulfilled when we go out into the world to find any who are lost and hurting, proclaim the Good News of what Jesus has done for all of us, and share our testimonies of how He saved us out of what we used to be, where we He found us and how He brought us through to where we are now, and we bring those lost, prodigal children home to Father God.

What We Believe

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible - both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in our lives on all matters to which they speak.

TRINITY

We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that these are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious roles in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

GOD

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women, hears and answers prayer, and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

JESUS

We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s eternal Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. He is not only true God, but true man conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, His perfect model for all of life, and His personal, visible, return from heaven.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, His personality, and His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and implement Christ’s work of redeeming the lost and empowering the believer for godly living and service.

PEOPLE

We believe God created humanity, male and female, in the image of God and free from sin. We further believe all people are sinners by nature and choice and are, therefore, spiritually dead. However, we also believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

SALVATION

We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, and was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received through faith apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.

CHURCH

We believe that the Church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the head and is composed of all people who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and have become children of God. This Family expresses itself in local assemblies and join together for fellowship, worship, instruction, evangelism, and service. The ordinances of the local church are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We also believe in the interdependence of local churches and the mutual submission of Christians to each other in love.

CHURCH & STATE

We believe that each local church must be free from interference by any political authority. We also believe all men and women are directly responsible to God in matters of faith and life, and that they should be free to worship God according to the dictates of their consciences.

CHRISTIAN LIFE

We believe that the supreme task of every believer is to glorify God in life and conduct and be righteous, holy, and true. Each Christian should be a faithful steward of all possessions and seek to realize in every area of life the full stature of maturity in Christ.

CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE

We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in an exclusive relationship. We believe that God designed sexual initmacy to occur only between a married couple within the bounds of that relationship alone.

FINAL AGE

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost, the eternal existence of all people in either heaven or hell, in divine judgments and rewards.

What We Believe Continued:

Sexual Immorality

We believe that sexual acts outside of marriage are prohibited and considered sinful. Consequently, our leaders and all who are involved in our ministry in any capacity must resist and refrain from any and all sexual acts outside marriage between one man and one woman – included but not limited to adultery, fornication, incest, zoophilia, bestiality, pornography, prostitution, voyeurism, pedophilia, exhibitionism, sodomy, polygamy, polyamory, sologamy, or same-sex sexual acts (Exodus 20:14, Leviticus 18:7-23; 20:10-21, Deuteronomy 5:18, Matthew 5:27-28; 15:19, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-13, Galatians 5:19, Ephesians 4:18-19, Colossians 3:5, 1 Thessalonians 4:3).

Gender Identity

We believe that God created humanity in His image: male (man) and female (woman) – collectively called “gender” – sexually different but with equal personal dignity. Consequently, our leaders and all who are involved in our ministry in any capacity must affirm their own biological gender from birth and refrain from any and all attempts to physically alter or conflict with their predominant, biological gender identity as naturally born – including but not limited to, elective sex reassignment, transvestite or transgender acts, or non-binary (asexual or gender fluid) conduct (Genesis 1:26-28, Romans 1:26-32).

Sexual Orientation

We believe that the Bible describes appropriate sexual orientation as sexual attraction and conduct only toward someone of the opposite gender (i.e. biological male or female). Therefore, our leaders and all who are involved in our ministry in any capacity are to refrain from any and all same sex sexual acts. (Genesis 19:4-7, Leviticus 18:22; 20:13, Judges 19:22-23, Romans 13:14, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

Sexual Redemption

We believe that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) and should seek redemption through confession, repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and obedience to the principles of the Bible. Consequently, our leaders and all who are involved in our ministry in any capacity should treat with respect, compassion, and sensitivity all who confess sexually immoral acts, including same-sex acts, and who are also refraining from sexual immorality and conforming their behavior to this Statement of Faith/Sincerely Held Beliefs (Romans 3:23-24, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Ephesians 2:1-5: 2:8-10, Hebrews 2:17-18; 4:14-16, James 1:25; 5:19-20).

Celibacy

We believe that the Bible grants only two options for human sexual behavior: (1) the conjugal “one flesh” marital union of one man and one woman, and (2) celibacy. Either is a gift from God, given as He wills for His glory and the good of those who receive and rejoice in this gift to them. Therefore, celibacy and faithful singleness is to be celebrated and affirmed (Matthew 19:12, 1 Corinthians 7:1; 27; 32-35, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7).

Sanctity of Human Life

We believe in the sanctity of human life, specifically, all life has value because all life is created by God, in His image. We partner with God as we contend for the lives of the preborn, the disabled, the Elderly, the fatherless, the widows and many others (Psalm 82:3-4). We believe life begins at the moment of conception and God places an incomparably high value on each and every human life (Jeremiah 1:5-6, Psalm 139:14). We believe abortion is a choice to end a human life which is addressed in the sixth commandment – you shall not kill (Exodus 20:13).
